Send Leagueman results via newsletter

Since 2003 I live in Hannover, Germany.
AS you might know, I m the administrator of my former sports club's website www.lindowersv.de

Lindow is situated in north of Berlin, the german capital, 300 km away from Hannover.
I havent seen a match for years. Nevertheless I manage results of a few leagues on the website. Some results I have to look up at a german football site, some results I get via mailing list.

I thought, a mailing list for Leagueman would be cool.

Leagueman can serve this quite easy. I will show you the workflow:

The main newsletter component is com_acajoom News 1.3.0.
With com_acajoom it is possible to send content items to subscribers of a mailing list.All you need is your own newletter template.

In my example we will send results of the german premier league: 1.Bundesliga.
Therefore create a content section: 1.Bundesliga and a content category called: 2007/2008, the season value.
Each content item within this section/category represents a Leagueman round (matchday), so maybe a title would be: 1.Bundesliga 2007/2008: 1.Spieltag.

Leagueman is capable to create these articles automatically by a template. How?
Edit your Leagueman project, open the "integration" - tab, choose your content category and save. In your project list use the round manager shortcut. Create all rounds at once, if not already done. Can you see the link: create content article? click it! Does it changing to: edit content article? Cool. Click it!

Normally the content of a generated item is some bot calling for the most part and HTML. Dont use a WYSIWYG-Editor. Once you are satisfied with your article you can create your newsletter with acajoom, do a test run to yourself, then send this article to all users having subscribed to your newsletter.
